COMMUNICATIONS

As the chair of the Communications in 2024, our priorities focused on enhancing APPNA's social image, increasing user engagement on APPNA’s social platforms, highlighting committee work, and keeping members updated on new developments.

Suno APPNA Newsletter: The Communications Committee successfully launched the digital newsletter, "Suno APPNA," and published eight editions of the newsletter in 2024.

"Suno APPNA" newsletter began with an in-depth focus on the APPNA Strategy Meeting, highlighting actionable items from the SWOT analysis on various fronts. Subsequent issues covered topics such as APPNA's educational landscape and achievements of educational committees like MERIT, YPC, and RESA, and celebrated the accomplishments of different chapters. Recaps of the Spring and Summer Meetings offered summaries of CME sessions, educational seminars, and networking events. In addition, issues focused on membership data, philanthropic projects, advocacy efforts, and the Fall Meeting highlights. Collectively, these editions have kept members informed and engaged with the diverse activities and goals of APPNA.

APPNA Social Media Platforms: The committee actively shared APPNA's educational, advocacy, and philanthropic achievements across our digital outlets—YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I am happy to report that our social media traffic tripled in 2024, which is the highest ever in the history of APPNA!

APPNA Website: In collaboration with our IT team, the Communications Committee completed APPNA's website update! This was the major update in almost a decade.

I continued to work on member engagement in 2024 as President of the Liaquat Alumni and started webinar series called, "Candid Conversations." It was designed to engage and educate current and prospective APPNA members. The sessions explored pathways to leadership, strategies for conflict resolution, insights into APPNA’s bylaws, and the importance of membership growth. With discussions on why APPNA matters, this initiative strengthened institutional understanding and inspired greater member participation. These webinars can be accessed using these links:
